New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year!

I am not big on making resolutions, but this year I am! In my last post I shared some pictures of Lisa and Kevin's wedding. I had planned to take a tun of picture to share, but in the end I have very few. So for this year...
I resolve to take pictures of my work.

I made this bouquet of orange, cream and yellow roses and sunset calla lilies. I removed the stamen from the callas and replaced them with cystals. The wedding took place in a lush garden overlooking the shores of Lake Erie.

The bouquets I did for my own wedding...

The ring baerer "pillow" is one of my favorite parts of our wedding. I did not want a traditional pillow
and was so happy with this little wicker box and beautiful red rose. I used red pearls to make a hidden Mickey on the front bow.

Here are a few other pictures of flowers I have done...

Lisa and Kevin's Wedding

I just returned from a trip to the Orlando area. While there I had the pleasure of creating beautiful wedding flowers for a stunning bride, Lisa. Both the cerimony and reception were held at Historic Dubsdread Ballroom in Orlando Florida. The ceremony took place under a canopy of majestic oak trees draped in spanish moss, along side the manicured golf course. The celebration then continued in the ballroom. Large stone fireplaces, wood beam ceilings, tasteful Christmas decorations and lighting, set the back drop for Lisa and Kevin's red rose and black theme.

Each table had a tall glass vase partly filled with crushed glass and lit by a red LED light then crowned by a compact arrangement of red roses, accented with hand strung crystal garlands and surrounded by votive candles and red rose petals.

Lisa's bouquet was a all red roses accented with crystals clusters and a collar of black satin ribbon ruffles. The stems where wrapped in black satin and crystal flurishes. Her bridesmaids carried bouquets of white roses with collars of red satin ruffles and personilized with crystal initials.

Congratulations to Lisa and Kevin. Wishing you a lifetime of celebrations together!
